Topic: Intellectual Property Rights: Empowering Minds, Igniting Knowledge

The workshop was formally inaugurated by Prof. Anoop Kumar Singh, Principal, P.P.N. (P.G.) College, Kanpur. In his inaugural address, he highlighted the critical role of IPR in protecting research outputs and innovations.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. H. B. Singh, Advisor, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Lucknow, Former Professor & Head, Department of Plant Pathology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and Visiting Professor, Department of Agriculture, Integral University, Lucknow. He delivered a comprehensive, data-driven, and inspiring lecture, blending legal frameworks, global trends, real patent examples, entrepreneurship, and institutional research achievements.

The workshop was jointly coordinated byProf. Abha Singh, Convenor, IQAC Cell and Dr. S. P. Srivastava, Convenor, IPR Cell.

The anchoring was efficiently conducted by Prof. Suman Singh, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Maninder Arora.

Several senior faculty members participated actively in the workshop, including – Prof. Vandana Dwivedi, Prof. Krishna Kumar, Prof. Satish Chandra, Prof. Monal Singh, Prof. Nidhi Srivastava, Dr. B.B. Biswas, Prof. D.C. Katiyar, Dr. Shailendra Pratap Singh and Dr. Neeraj Verma.

A large number of teachers and research scholars participated enthusiastically and got benefited from interactive discussions and clarification of queries related to IPR.

The workshop was highly informative, motivating, and transformative, providing participants with practical knowledge of IPR laws, patent filing, commercialization, and global innovation trends. It successfully fulfilled its objective of empowering minds and igniting knowledge, fostering a strong culture of innovation, protection, and entrepreneurship within the academic community.
