Policy Document

Entrepreneurship promotion and development should be one of the major dimensions of the Institution’s strategy. The College has a Startup and Incubation cell. The Cell is in the process of developing a mechanism in co-ordination with the departments, to create a conducive environment for innovative thinking among students. Despite not having a Physical Incubation centre in the College, we promote innovative concepts through guidance and motivation. Our motto is to create job givers not only job seekers. To address the issue of growing unemployment among the youth, the Cell motivates the students to come up with innovative ideas with business potential specially related to the environmental, social causes.

Mission

We promote visionary thinking among the entrepreneurs-to-be by generating awareness about the benefits of starting up. The students are motivated to avail the benefits from the different initiatives taken by Government of India like Startup India, Make in India etc. Entrepreneurship related value added course is also conducted in the College. We guide the students to get their business entity to be registered with MSME, Rehabilitation Council of India or some other Registration Authority and inspire them by the stories of successful ventures of the previous batches of the College. We encourage young enthusiasts with creative pursuits and inherent zeal to adopt entrepreneurship as one of the career options.

We also act as a connecting means between the young minds and the Innovation and Incubation Cell of CSJM University Kanpur where the students can get the robust ecosystem that gives momentum to their innovative pursuit.

Objectives

  • To identify, recognize and share the success stories of successful entrepreneurs with the students to inspire and motivate them.
  • To promote hand-holding of successful students with the budding ones so that they become self – sustained in due course.
  • To encourage and motivate the  young entrepreneurs who, come up with innovative ideas.
  • To provide support and conducive environment for innovators in converting their ideas into start-up and creation of successful enterprise.
