Environment Conservation and Cleanliness Committee
The Environment Conservation and Cleanliness Committee was formed and started functioning in May 2017, under the guidance of Dr. S. P. Singh. Since, November 2022 Prof. Nidhi Srivastava assumed the leadership role, along with three members Mrs. Alka Rani, Dr. Neeraj Verma, and Dr. Manu Chauhan. The committee’s primary goal is to promote environmentally sustainable habits among students and encourage them to adopt such practices in their daily lives. To achieve this, the committee has organized various competitions, presentations, exhibitions, plants plantation and other activities. The purpose of these activities is to raise awareness about conservation & cleanliness and encourage students to contribute to these causes.
The committee has also started an ECO CLUB for students to volunteer and take measures to clean and conserve the environment in and around the College. The ECO CLUB has several objectives, including promoting environment-friendly activities, spreading awareness about environmental conservation, reducing the use of plastic, making the college campus plastic-free, encouraging students to dispose of waste material in dustbins, conserving water, and preventing the misuse of electricity in the college.
Objectives of ECO CLUB
- To conserve and clean the environment
- To promote students to practice environment friendly activities.
- To spread awareness among the students about the environment Conservation.
- To minimize the use of plastic.
- To make the college campus plastic/wrapper free.
- To encourage student to put waste material in the dustbin.
- To check waste of water and try to conserve it.
- To keep an eye on the misuse/waste of electricity anywhere in the college.
